Welcome Matthew Foy
Let us affirm our faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Though he was divine,
he did not cling to equality with God,
but made himself nothing.
Taking the form of a slave,
he was born in human likeness.
He humbled himself
and was obedient to death,
even the death of the cross.
Therefore God has raised him on high,
and given him the name above every name:
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow,
and every voice proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Confession
Almighty
and most merciful Father,
we
have wandered and strayed from your ways
like
lost sheep.
We
have followed too much the devices and desires
of
our own hearts.
We
have offended against your holy laws.
We
have left undone those things
that
we ought to have done;
and
we have done those things
that
we ought not to have done;
and
there is no health in us.
But
you, O Lord, have mercy upon us sinners.
Spare
those who confess their faults.
Restore
those who are penitent,
according
to your promises declared to mankind
in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
And
grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake,
that
we may live a disciplined, righteous and godly life,
to
the glory of your holy name. Amen.
Bible
Reading Luke 11v1-4
One
day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his
disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his
disciples.’
2 He
said to them, ‘When you pray, say:
‘“Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.”’
Prayer
of the Day
Almighty
God,
you
have created the heavens and the earth
and
made us in your own image:
teach
us to discern your hand in all your works
and
your likeness in all your children;
through
Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who
with you and the Holy Spirit reigns supreme over all things,
now
and for ever. Amen

Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against
us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever. Amen.
Closing Prayer from Numbers 6
‘“‘The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious
to you;
the Lord turn his face towards you
and give you
peace.’” Amen
